Welcome to Hostel Kucha.
We are a cosy design hostel, overlooking the city of Sarajevo. Ideally located in one of the oldest parts of town, we are a short uphill walk from the city’s main attractions. Our common area has a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious dining area and a comfy lounge to relax on. Just outside, we have a large terrace with spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains.
Designed by young architects and graphic designers, our rooms are spread over three floors and include mixed dorms, one female dorm and several private doubles (some with ensuites). Sleep soundly on our hotel-quality mattresses with individual power outlets, reading lights, large lockers and a seating area in each room.
Hostel Kucha is next door to a supermarket, with a butcher shop, green grocer, bakery and many fast food outlets nearby. The city center and the Old Town are both 10 minutes walk from the hostel. Here you’ll find plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can sample Bosnian specialties including ćevapi, burek and rakija.

* We don’t have a 24hr reception, so please let us know if you are going to arrive after midnight. But don’t worry, there is no curfew and there is always someone around!

Feel the vibe of old town from the terrace!
Enjoy the beautiful view of the city or make new friends over summer barbecues! The terrace is open through all seasons, so don’t get discouraged by a little rain or snow. If you are a smoker we would like to ask you kindly to smoke at the terrace or outside the hostel property, since smoking indoors is not allowed. One more important info: The terrace closes at 10 p.m.
Our top priority is your safety!
Only guests with key cards can enter the hostel. All our dorm rooms have large luggage lockers—you can bring your own lock or we can provide you one for free at the reception. The last, but not the least, we must not forget that we all contribute to the safe environment by respecting the house rules and each other!
